Your Teacher Librarian: Kristen Lee
Kristen got her BA in History at UCLA and her MA in Education and Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential at UC Berkeley. She first started teaching in PAUSD in 1989 when she became a 1st/2nd grade teacher at Escondido Elementary on the Stanford University campus. She taught 1st-4th graders at Escondido from 1989-1994 and then she and her husband traveled to London where Kristen taught at the American School in London as the Middle School Technology Coordinator.
After two years teaching middle school students and working with the middle school teachers to help them integrate technology into their curriculum, Kristen and her husband returned to the Bay Area and she became the Addison Elementary computer lab teacher.
Kristen then returned to Escondido as the Math Resource Teacherin 2006 while also teaching 2nd graders at Duveneck Elementary. She became Escondido’s Teacher Librarian in 2008 while also getting her Teacher Librarian certification.
She absolutely loved being Escondido’s Teacher Librarian, but the opportunity to combine her love of middle school literature and curriculum at wonderful Terman Middle School was a chance she could not pass up. She looks forward to her new adventure at Terman in 2014!
